My first ever short film was showcased in a film festival “FilmGate”. This was based around a poem that I wrote over 3 years ago about the disconnection I have from my family in Cuba due to its communist and corrupted ways. The distance may not seem far to others but to me, it feels never-ending. Along with that, I try to convey a sense of hope and power to my people through my short film.
